Description
For a French press, use a 1:15 ratio — 1 gram of coarse-ground coffee to 15 grams of water (roughly 1 tablespoon to 3.5 ounces of water). Heat your water to about 200°F, add your coffee to the press, and pour the water in, making sure to saturate all the grounds. Give it a quick, gentle stir, then place the lid on top without pressing. Let it steep for 4 minutes. When time is up, slowly and evenly push the plunger down; don’t rush it. Pour right away to avoid over-extraction. This method produces a rich, full-bodied cup with lots of natural oils and depth.
