Union Place Dark Roast is by far our customers’ favorite blended coffee. This blend has a rich bold taste, with a full-bodied caramelized sweet finish. Our Dark Roast House Blend is a harmonious three-bean blend of Central and South American beans. We start with a base of Colombian beans for its wine-like sweetness, then add in Guatemalan beans for a nutty earthiness and finish this blend with a touch of Brazilian beans for some notes of chocolate. The finished blend is our go-to favorite anytime of day.
Roasted to a Full-City +, we finish our house dark roast coffee just into the second crack. The beans are slightly oily on the surface indicative of a fresh dark roast.
Our Dark Roast House Blend is enjoyable to both our dark and medium coffee drinkers. Dark enough to taste the rich boldness without any burnt taste that will also appeal to our medium roast drinkers. If you like to add cream or sugar to your cup, this one holds up nicely without losing that full-bodied flavor.
If you’re looking for a mellower experience try the traditional auto-drip brewing method with the Union Place Dark Roast. Or if you are looking to kick it up a notch, try the French Press brewing method, which will allow those naturally forming oils to shine through with intense dark notes.
