Description

We roast our Ethiopian Yirgacheffe to a light medium to retain the exotic qualities of this exceptional coffee. Bright citrus acidity and complex floral and fruited notes are prominent with berry top notes in the forefront. This amazingly unique coffee comes with a medium body with rounded dark chocolate notes. This is a coffee that you’ll love over and over again.

Ethiopia, known as the birthplace of coffee, is legendary for its exceptional beans. Coffee trees grow wild in Ethiopia as they have for centuries. The climate and environment are perfect for producing amazing coffees. The naturally rich soil and tree canopies provide ideal growing conditions for this cherished brew. Thus, Ethiopia is the largest coffee producing nation in Africa, exporting nearly 3.5 million bags annually and accounting for 3% of the global market.

The higher mountain elevations of Southern Ethiopia produce exceptionally high quality beans. These beans are hard and densely packed with intense flavors. More than a thousand different varietals of coffee are grown in Ethiopia, one of the most prized is grown in Yirgacheffe – a small town within the Sidamo region.

If you love our Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee we recommend trying our Guatemalan Medium Roast or our Costa Rican Medium Roast.
